Cards galore

Along with the cards I showed in my last post, I also made the ones below.  I need to get started on making Christmas cards, bat that will be another day.

Ok, I guess cards galore is a little misleading,  it seemed like more when I was making them.

Happy stitching!

July Smalls SAL

07/29/2018

It took a day longer than I meant to, but here's my Smalls SAL update.  Thanks to Heather at Stitching Lotus for sponsoring this.  And I am very glad that all is well with Heather.

I focused on finishing projects this month, but did manage a few starts as well.

Below is a card I made for someone I used to work with that was in a serious car accident.  I adapted another blackwork pattern I have and experimented with distress ink pads to create the paper.

And here's a card I made for someone else I used to work with that had a baby. The pacifier was made earlier in the year, but I added the birth details and assembled the card.

And here's the last item I started and finished this month.  It will go on a Christmas card.
And in no particular order, below are the rest of my finishes for the month.

I was really happy to finish so many items this month and I plan on continuing this trend next month, although I need to get started on more Christmas items.

Happy stitching,
Michele

It's done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

07/26/2018

It's done.  It's finally done.  What's finally done you ask.  Well, started in 2015

And continued on  February 9, 2018.  I was determined to finish it!

Worked on throughout February, and then I had to take a break on Feb. 28, 2018
I was making great progress, but I was tired of stitching black floss on 28 ct  fabric.

OK, It's now July and I'm really focusing on finishes. "C'mon Michele," I said to myself, "You can do this!"

July 15, 2018

July 22, 2018...so close
Then, VICTORY!!  July 25, 2018
At 12" tall and 10" wide, this is by far, one of the biggest finishes I have done in a long time.  This was the first time I ever purchased the recommended fabric, which is 28ct Eek! Cashel  Linen by Picture This Plus. I also purchased the hanger and hope to finish that part this weekend.

I'm rockin' the finishes this year!

I will post my smalls either tomorrow or Saturday, but I am so proud to have this "beast" done, that I had to give it it's very own post!

Happy Thursday!

Michele
