September Smalls SAL

09/28/2018,
Another month has flown by and  I hope everyone is doing well.  I did not stitch as much as I normally do as I was busy with some other projects.  I did, however, manage to finish a few things.  Thanks, as always, to Heather at Stitching Lotus  for sponsoring this SAL.

A couple of Little House Needleworks pieces from their "Farmhouse Christmas" series.  Only two more left in this series.

This is "Train Depot" by Mill Hill and is going to be a door hanger for my dad once it is completely finish. He loves trains and I think will really like it.

A card from an old freebie kit that came with a magazine.

The first in a set of three patterns that will be wall hangings for my oldest.

This beauty is by Blackberry Lane. I started it in 2017.

This beast was started in 2016.  It's 4 x 5 and every square is stitched, ugh.  But it's done!

This original design will be on a birthday card for my sister-in-law, who is turning 50 in a few days.  She's also a huge Agatha Christie fan so the quote seemed ideal.

This last piece is an original design.  I don't think I've mentioned, but I'm making a book for The Sketchbook Project from the Brooklyn Art Library.  Every year they have this project. You buy a  5 x 7 sketchbook and fill it with projects, sketches, whatever artsy thing you want to do. A friend of mine that is an artist did it last year and one of the themes this year is "stitch & story".  How could I NOT participate.  So the "story" is my life.  I know, ego-centric much?  But the idea has evolved and I'm behind on my stitching for this project.  There's no harm if I don't get it done in time, other than it will not be displayed at the Brookly Art Library.  Anyway, I have most of my projects picked, I just need to stitch.  The book cannot be thicker than one inch and you can add pages if you want to.  The below is my husband and my wedding date, stitched in our colors.

That's it for now.  I'll have another update in a few days with my year to date progress, etc.

Happy Fall,
Michele
