October Smalls SAL

10/27/2016
Hello and Happy almost Halloween.
It's the last Thursday of the month which means it's time for my Smalls SAL update, sponsored by Heather at Stitching Lotus.  It's always great fun to see what everyone else is stitching.

Where to start.  How about baby cards?  I work for a company that has a lot of young people and yes, they are doing what young people do...making babies. Cards below are all for co-workers and the baby blocks are for another co-worker due in November.  Whew, don't drink the water in my office. Sorry the one card is the wrong direction.  Obviously, I need one of my co-workers to help me with my technology :)  Patterns for these are from a variety of sources and if you are interested in any, let me know  in the comments section and I'll respond.

Next,  how about some Christmas?  Again, a variety of sources, let  me know if you need info on anything.

And a couple of other pieces that were stitched for WOCS.  I stitched the pattern on the left first and when I rinsed it, the colors bled so I restitched it. It's Diamond 19 from Connie Gee's 2015-2016 Diamond SAL.

This one is for my youngest son's soccer coach.  The season is over and while the team did better than last year, they did not make the playoffs.  My son has had this coach since he was a freshman in high school and  we will all be sad to no longer have her in our lives.  The pattern is partially mine and partially from Cross Stitch Card shop.

And last but not least, "Butterfly Baby" by Ellen Maurer-Stroh.  I love her "babies". This is for one of my co-workers and I changed the wing colors at his request.  The sideways baby card is for the same co-worker.

That's all that I have  completed thus far, but it is only the 27th and I have a TON of Christmas cards in the works.  Expect another October post.

Happy Stitching!

September Smalls SAL

09/28/2016

Happy early Thursday. Yes, I know it isn't really Thursday, but the days have a way of getting away from me and I figured I'd write my September Smalls SAL post while I had a few minutes of down time.  Thanks, as always, to Heather at Stitching Lotus for hosting this SAL.

Despite  working full time and attending at least 2 high school soccer games and 1 football game every week, I managed to finish quite a few projects.

This is from Artecy Christmas Motifs 5. I finished the same pattern in red last month.

The next several designs are from the kit, Bucilla 30 Mini Christmas Ornaments

Another pattern from the book 1000 Cross Stitch Mini Motifs by Sharon Welch

Birthday  card for a co-worker, pattern is a freebie by Sullivan's

Fancy Dachshund by Daily Cross Stitch.  The pattern has three dogs, but I only stitched one.  This will be used on a card for my sister-in-law.

Two versions of the same pattern from Alita Designs.  Different material, different colors and some beads just for fun.

Another pattern from the book 1000 Cross Stitch Mini Motifs by Sharon Welch.  This was a birthday card for a co-worker.

Birthday card for a friend.  This is the same pattern I used earlier in the year, but I changed the center words.

The below is from Cross Stitch Crazy  Oct. 2012 and was going to be used as part of a birthday present for sister-in-law but I changed what I am giving her so I will probably put it on a card instead.

I might have a couple of other small finishes as a couple more co-workers are expecting babies this week, but since there's a soccer game tomorrow night and a football game Friday night, I really doubt it.

Happy stitching!

August Catch up

09/28/2016

So I had the best of intentions in posting the rest of my August finishes over Labor Day weekend.  I even took an extra day off to decompress after open enrollment, but did I ever write that post?     No, I did not.

Well, better late than never so below are the rest of my August finishes.

Two sympathy cards, designed by me.

Bear in a teacup from the book 1000 Mini Cross Stitch Motifs by Sharon Welch

What will be a set of wine glass charms from World of Cross Stitch magazine #221

The below three are from Artecy Christmas Motifs 4 and 5.  The candle and star are from 4 and the red ornament is from 5.

Finish on a baby card for a co-worker.

And all 12 of the below Lizzie Kate patterns. I do not know how I am going to finish these. I may turn them into another calendar, or I may turn them into blocks. Time will tell.

So lots of stitching in August.

Happy Fall,
