Ok everyone, time to update me on your stitch from stash progress.  I spent $14.84 for the month.  I would have only spent $6.67, but I saw  a technique for painting aida cloth and just had to try it...and of course didn't have any paints. I stitched 7 projects for WOCS, 5 miscellaneous patterns, finished the stitching for and made 12 cards and worked on a couple of larger projects.  Below are a few pictures of projects made for WOCS and cards I made.

Let me know your progress for the month and I'll post everyone's results.  You can e-mail me at michelesmadeups@gmail.com or post here.

Thanks,
Michele

How is everyone doing with their stitch from stash. I broke down and ordered a couple of kits.  I had received an Amazon gift card, and in using the gift card went over by $6.67.  Hopefully that will be it for me this month, but there's still half a month to go.  sigh. so many patterns.

More WOCS projects finished.  Both stitched using materials  and patterns on hand.
This is for a geometric quilt they are making and it is intended  for a male recipient.

Need I say more.  A dog quilt.

Tada, Reflection by Ann Logan is done and framed.
I really love the matte I selected and the white frame just sets everything off!  I picked it up from the framers Friday, but just got around to posting the picture now.  I'm also working on cards for my sons' robotics club.  I'm making thank you notes for them to give the adult mentors that work with them. I have to make 8 cards by the end of the month and two are about 80% stitched.  They are a pretty quick stitch so I should be able to finish them soon.

Happy Tuesday!

I am happy to say I finally finished my "May Flowers" project for WOCS
It turned our really nice, but seemed to take forever to stitch. Next on the agenda is thank  you cards for my boys' Robotics club to give their adult mentors and a birthday card for my niece. She's into gymnastics and I found a really cute pattern I can personalize.
Ok everyone, this is your last chance to shop without it counting against you.  Stitch from Stash officially starts tomorrow.

Take care,
Michele

Stitch from Stash Rules
1.  Monthly budget of $15.
2.  On the last day of each month, e-mail me, michelesmadeups@gmail.com, your progress for the month, including new starts, finishes, progress on unfinished projects, etc and what you spent during the month.  Please send me your e-mail and I'll send a reminder out.

Exemptions to the budget
1.  sales tax and/ or shipping
2. finishing( framing, etc).  I struggled whether to include this one, but I hate to see someone reduce their stash and then not be able to finish it
3.  gifted money( money/ gift cards given as gifts)
4.  subscriptions and renewals to subscriptions

I will track everyone's progress and announce who was lowest each month and who was lowest for March- December.  Remember, there are no prizes, just the knowledge that you have diminished your stash!

If anyone has any suggestions or would like additional rules added, please let me know.

Thanks,
Michele

Happy President's Day!  Well, eye surgery seemed to go ok, but I have another follow up later today which should tell me more. In the meantime, since I have no distance vision, my near vision was working great and I finished "Reflection" by Ann Logan. I was going to post a link to the pattern, as it's a free one, but I can't pull her website up right now.
I took it to Michael's to get it framed and I can't wait to get it back. I used a double matt, with the one closest to the picture a light bluish gray and the larger matt  one of the blues in the area surrounding the tree.  The frame is pure white, which really emphasized the lighter areas in the picture.

Stitch for stash rules will be posted tomorrow, I promise, and I will add a comment to BB Interactive to let people know.

Hi everyone and thanks for joining in the "stitch for stash" group.  I'm working on rules and should have them posted by next Monday.  Hopefully sooner, but I'm having some minor eye surgery this week and am not sure how long I'll be away from the computer.
